Trayvon Martin's mother: 'Racial profiling is still alive'

The mother of  Trayvon Martin  told a large crowd Thursday in Utah that racial profiling and injustice are still alive and that the death of her 17-year-old son is more about "the person who thought he was suspicious."   Sybrina Fulton was  invited by the University of Utah  to speak Thursday as part of the university's 30th annual Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Dr.  Martin Luther King Jr. This year's theme is "Beneath the Hoodie: A Look at Racial Profiling in America." Fulton's son, a 17-year-old black Miami high-school student, was fatally shot in February 2012 by  George Zimmerman . A jury in  Seminole County  acquitted Zimmerman in July of murder, backed by Florida's Stand Your Ground self-defense law.  The case stirred a national debate on issues of self-defense, racial justice, gun control and profiling.
